Supply Lists - 2008-2009: Grade 8
The grade 8 team is anxious for our students to enjoy a positive start for the school year. We have compiled this list of supplies each student will need for classes this year. This is a preliminary list of supplies, and students may have to obtain some additional materials once school starts. We ask that your child have these supplies by Friday, September 5, 2008 for optimum success.
- one large three-ring binder
- English/metric ruler
- supply of #2 pencils
- supply of blue or black pens –- no other colors or pastels
- several red pens
- two highlighters
- four packages of notebook dividers
- appropriate calculator –- ALL Algebra I & II students will need a graphing
- calculator (TI-83 or TI-84) to use at home
- two new packages of AAA batteries for math
- book covers for all textbooks (Jumbo Size Book Sox)
- notebook paper –- 8 ½ x 11 wide-lined ( no spiral notebooks)
- good erasers ( no erasing fluid is allowed)
- 1 marbled composition book for English
- 1 set of colored pens or pencils
- 1 glue stick
- reinforcements
- 2 boxes of tissues (to be given to the homeroom teacher)
- 1 bottle Purell or other hand sanitizer (to be given to the homeroom teacher)
- 3-hole punch (optional)
- scissors (optional)
- Spanish students in Ms. Senior and Ms. Horlacher's classes will need: 1 ½” looseleaf binder with 5 dividers and a Spanish dictionary for home reference –- ex. Vox, Cassell, Harper Collins
